Andrae Weeks' Art Studio

Well-known Tasmanian artist Andrae Weeks welcomes visitors in her working studio. Andrae has moved back to Devonport from Hobart in December, 2006. When in Devonport, plan to visit Andrae's Art Studio. You can view her watercolours and prints, her abstracts, landscapes and still-lifes, and talk with her about art and technique. Andrae's abstracts are especially noted for her use of bright, cheery colours; her landscapes reflect the subtle hues of the Tasmanian countryside and the vibrance of outback Australia. Andrae Weeks has won numerous local awards for her work since 1991, has exhibited in Tasmania and on the mainland of Australia and has held solo exhibitions state-wide and most recently in Melbourne, Victoria. Her paintings hang in galleries across Tasmania, and in private collections in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, and Newcastle, Australia. Andrae has also sold works to collectors in Los Angeles and other parts of California, New York State and France. Andrae has had works displayed at Gallery Two in Launceston, Tasmania, at Handmark Gallery at Salamanca Place in Hobart, Tasmania, at the Regency Hyatt Hotel, Coolum Beach in Queensland and at the Delshan Gallery in High Street, Armadale (Melbourne), Victoria. Andrae's work currently shows at the All Saints Co-op Gallery in Forth, next door to the pub, just west of Devonport along the Forth River, and has from January 2002 till its close in July 2004, at The Customs Wharf Gallery in Williamstown (Melbourne) Victoria, as well as at other exhbitions around the country. Wise Possum Gallery represented Andrae's work in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales for close to 2 years, till Sept. 2005.
